Yup I think it's the age thing, coz around this time the separation anxiety kicks in too.. Plus teeth etc. DS was an ok sleeper but by 8 months he was still waking up at least 1-2 times during the night. Finally he started sleeping 11-12 hours again, but now that he's getting more teeth, he's waking up again.. Plus DD is going thru a phase where she MUST have her door open, so every few hours she's coming into our room!(plus she's not wearing a nappy anymore, so I've got to make sure she goes to the loo otherwise she might have an accident!) Between the two of them I'm just about brain dead!! LOL I used Save Our Sleep by Tizzie Hall for DD and I found it pretty useful. I didn't do it properly (I don't have enough patience lol) so I took the bits that worked for us and disregarded the rest. I don't really like CC either, baby is crying for a reason, not just coz they feel like it! Anyhoo, our motto is 'we do what works'. If we try something and we don't like it, or it doesn't have good results then we try something else! You'll get there in the end! I found a nice little drive would work well for us when DD was teething and being a ratbag - it relaxes them and gets them out of the house environment - kinda reprograms them for sleep I reckon! I don't mind driving around at 3am, but if you don't like that, we used to sit and watch telly for 20 minutes too! LOL Ah the joys of parenthood!!
